Unlimited features 4 DVDs at a time with no monthly limit and unlimited hours instantly on your PC for $23.99 monthly, for 3 DVDs at a time it is $16.99 monthly, for 2 DVDs at a time it is $13.99 monthly and for 1 DVD at a time it is $8.99 monthly.
1 DVD at-a-time offers 1 DVD at a time with a limit of 2 per month and 2 instant hours on your PC for $4.99 monthly.

Netflix History

Netflix was founded in 1997 by Reed Hastings with headquarters in Los Gatos, California. Currently Netflix has over 55 million discs, 90,000 titles and 6.7 million subscribers, shipping an average of 1.6 million discs daily. Netflix announced the delivery of the billionth DVD on February 25, 2007, ten years after their beginning. For a flat rate, subscribers can rent DVD movies through an ordered list referred to as a rental queue. DVDs are delivered by the United States postal service and can be kept for as long as the subscriber wants but there is a limit to the number of DVDs that may be checked out at one time. When subscribers are done with the movie, they send the DVD back in a prepaid mailing envelope and Netflix ships the next DVD on their rental queue. Netflix currently offers an "Instand Viewing" feature to customers that allow subscribers to stream movies and TV shows instantly that have a near-DVD quality in response to the introduction of Apple's new movie rental service. When Blockbuster entered as major competition in the online rental market in 2004, Netflix founder Hastings said their rival threw "everything but the kitchen sink at us". The allocation policy of Netflix was referred to many as throttling and the company faced a class action lawsuit in 2004, causing them to change their terms to allow this practice.
